An exciting opportunity is available for a proactive Computer Science Teacher to join our partner Secondary School in Bury St Edmunds. We are seeking a dedicated and resilient individual to deliver engaging and effective lessons across all key stages, helping students to master the challenges of an increasingly digital world. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons to students from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5.
  • Teach a range of topics, including programming (e.g., Python, Scratch), computer systems, data representation, and networks.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development.
  • Help create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that encourages independence and a love for learning.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to further develop the computer science curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities.
  • Support the physical, emotional, and social development of students, ensuring their well-being and safety at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience teaching Computer Science at a secondary school level.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Computer Science and relevant exam board syllabi (e.g., OCR, Edexcel).
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
