Secondary Computer Science Teacher | Key Stage 3 & 4

Are you a highly motivated and qualified Secondary Teacher seeking a rewarding, permanent opportunity to inspire the next generation of digital innovators? We are looking for an exceptional Computer Science practitioner to join our successful and forward-thinking secondary school.

This full-time post is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to take ownership of their own classes and contribute fully to the departmental success within Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).

The Role: Igniting a Passion for Computing

The core focus of this position is to plan, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging lessons in Computer Science. You will be responsible for a full timetable of classes, ensuring exceptional progress and positive outcomes for all students aged 11-16.

You will guide students through the complexities of computational thinking, programming, and digital literacy, and will be expected to use formative and summative assessment strategies effectively to guide student learning toward strong GCSE outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Computer Science educator who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.

  • Possesses recent, demonstrable experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Is passionate about their subject and committed to raising student attainment in Computing.

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements for Computer Science.

  • Is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

Key Responsibilities

You will take full responsibility for the learning and achievement of all pupils in your classes, including planning, preparation, and detailed marking.

Other duties include:

  • Contributing to the development of schemes of work for the Computer Science curriculum.

  • Assessing student progress and providing timely feedback to drive improvement.

  • Undertaking a form tutor role.

  • Actively participating in whole-school life and training.
