Job summary

Blank Space Recruitment Ltd in East Midlands is seeking a CAD Technician to join an established events and construction-focused business. You will use AutoCAD to produce proposals and build ready construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections and isometric views.

Reporting to the Design Manager, the role involves collaboration with Project Managers, stakeholders, clients and suppliers. It is an office-based position requiring strong communication, ability to prioritise workloads

Qualifications

• Strong background in using AutoCAD to create proposals and construction drawings.
• Experience in events, engineering, fabrication or construction industries preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; strong communication skills and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce proposals and build ready construction drawings using customised templates (plans, elevations, sections & isometric views).
• Collaborate with Project Managers, senior stakeholders, clients and suppliers on project delivery.
• Maintain accuracy and clarity across drawings and documentation.

The Role

Reporting into the Design Manager, the CAD Technician will use customised templates to produce specific proposals and build ready construction drawings. These will include plans, elevations, sections & isometric views for various applications within this bespoke industry. The role will involved internal collaboration with Project Managers, senior stakeholders as well as clients and suppliers.

About you

We are seeking a strong background in using AutoCAD software ideally in the events, engineering, fabrication or construction industries as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and work to tight deadlines. The role will require strong communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads. This is an office based role.
