Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Computational Engineering Expert for a remote, contract role. You will apply CFD/FEA and AI benchmarking to validate engineering models, using ANSYS, Abaqus, MATLAB, and OpenFOAM, and deliver detailed assessments to support model improvement.

You should hold a PhD or equivalent, with hands-on experience in computational mechanics, robotics, control systems, or signal processing, and strong communication to share complex insights with the team.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent in a computational, simulation, or systems engineering discipline.
• Proven expertise in CFD, FEA, computational mechanics, robotics, control systems, or signal processing.
• Hands-on experience with simulation, analytical, or technical modelling tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, MATLAB, or OpenFOAM.
• Strong problem-solving and systems-thinking skills with a commitment to technical excellence.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills enabling clear knowledge transfer and collaboration.

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
