Composites Inspector - Night Shift - End of April Contract

Department: Quality Assurance

Description

We are seeking an experienced Composite Inspector to support our Composite Inspection team on a night‑shift contract through a critical period of the season.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspection of finished and in‑process composite components.
  • Writing and executing inspection programs using PolyWorks Metrology Suite.
  • Geometric validation of jigs, patterns, moulds, and composite parts.
  • Use of Romer Arms and Laser Trackers for dimensional inspection.
  • Clear and concise communication of quality and inspection reports.
  • Supporting busy production periods with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Working professionally at all times within the company reporting structure.
  • Maintaining and developing skills to industry standards.
  • Upholding Health & Safety requirements at all times.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Previous experience within a composite manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of PolyWorks Metrology Suite.
  • Experience using Romer Arms and Laser Trackers.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
  • Understanding of lay‑up tables and composite manufacturing principles.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Methodical, thorough, and results‑driven approach.
  • Ability to work calmly and confidently under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
  • Flexible attitude to working hours, particularly weekend night shifts.
