Winsearch is proud to partner with a leading composites manufacturing business serving the Automotive, Aerospace and Motorsport sectors. We are recruiting a number of experienced Composites Laminators to join their team on an ongoing contract basis in Leicestershire. In this hands-on role, you will laminate tooling and components for high-performance projects, taking a precision approach and following detailed engineering drawings and laminating manuals. The focus is on meeting customer delivery targets without compromising quality.

Sector: Automotive, Aerospace, Motorsport

Employment type: Contract (Outside IR35)

Location: Leicestershire

Key Duties

• Laminate tooling and components for composite parts.
• Seal and release patterns/moulds using appropriate compounds.
• Vacuum-bag tooling and components for cure preparation.
• Load and operate ovens and autoclaves during curing processes.
• Manufacture templates and cut kits of composite components.
• Meet delivery targets for our customers while maintaining high quality standards.
• Support 5S and Lean manufacturing initiatives (continuous improvement).

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' laminating experience in the composite industry.
• Experience with race and road car construction (composite fabrication).
• Hands-on autoclave operation experience.
• Strong team player with a positive "can-do" attitude.
• Good organisational and logical reasoning skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow laminating manuals.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Desirable: familiarity with 5S/Lean manufacturing (continuous improvement).
