Salary: Competitive

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week: Monday to Thursday (Apply online only) Friday (Apply online only)

Shift Pattern: Workshop-based, may require occasional overtime

Role Overview

The Composite Engineer will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and modification of composite aircraft structures. You will work within a highly skilled team in a workshop environment, ensuring all work meets regulatory and company standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge materials and gain experience across a variety of aircraft types.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and repair composite aircraft structures in accordance with manufacturer and company procedures.
  • Perform modifications and structural enhancements on aircraft components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and specifications.
  • Ensure all work complies with EASA Part 145 / CAMO standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including paperwork and logbooks.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to support aircraft availability and project deadlines.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and quality regulations in the workshop.
Education & Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with composite materials in an aerospace environment
  • Relevant technical qualifications in aerospace engineering, composites, or equivalent
Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of composite materials, repair techniques, and bonding processes
  • Experience with hand layup, vacuum bagging, and prepreg materials
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards in an aviation workshop
Working Conditions
  • Workshop-based role with occasional overtime required
  • Exposure to aircraft components, composite dust, and workshop machinery
  • PPE and safety equipment provided
Additional Requirements
