Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking a Composite CNC Machinist to set and operate multi-axis CNC machines to produce carbon and metallic race car components and tooling.

You will manufacture parts from CAD data and drawings, manage multiple machining centres, and keep programme and tooling records. The role supports TPM, safety, and shop efficiency while collaborating with the team to maintain high-quality output within a motorsport environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating multi-axis CNC machines and producing high-precision components.
• Knowledge of Siemens 840D controls and materials such as aluminium alloys, stainless steels and tool steels.
• Understanding of CAM, ideally Open Mind Hyper MILL, and 3DEXPERIENCE design tools.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture components accurately from supplied CAD data and engineering drawings.
• Set and operate multiple multi-axis CNC machining centres to support output and shop utilisation.
• Maintain component programmes and tooling records, coordinating with the Team Leader when needed.
• Support TPM, cleanliness, and health and safety compliance.
