Responsibilities

Composite Assembly Assistant
Hereford | Temporary Contract | Full Time

Are you hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking for an opportunity to work within an innovative manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Composite Assembly Assistant to join a growing production team involved in the manufacture of advanced carbon fibre components.

Working Hours + Pay
  • Monday to Friday
  • 09:00 - 17:00
  • £16.00 - £20.00 (dependant on experience)
The Role

As a Composite Assembly Assistant, you will play a key part in the production process, ensuring components are assembled to the highest quality standards. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing carbon fibre airframes ready for assembly and fitment of additional components.
  • Mixing, applying and curing specialist adhesives to bond composite parts.
  • Following manufacturing instructions and production processes accurately.
  • Carrying out quality checks throughout the assembly process and reporting any defects.
  • Maintaining productivity while ensuring exceptional attention to detail.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met.

Desirable Experience

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Aerospace, automotive, marine or similar manufacturing background.
  • Ability to read engineering or mechanical drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools and measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality-controlled manufacturing environments such as ISO 9001.
  • Manufacturing, engineering or apprenticeship-based qualifications.
