Job summary

A leading transport compliance agency in Redditch is seeking a highly organised fleet compliance professional to manage vehicle maintenance and compliance records. You will oversee financial control, liaise with drivers, and lead accident management efforts. The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in a transport office and hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). This role involves a proactive approach to continuous improvement within a fast-paced work environment.

Job Overview

Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented transport professional with a passion for fleet compliance and maintenance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your expertise directly contributes to operational efficiency and cost control?

Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Management: Overseeing all vehicle maintenance, condition management, and control across multiple sites.
  • Compliance & Audit: Managing all necessary records, including maintenance logs and tachograph downloads. This includes driver infringement management, WTD adherence, and conducting quarterly fuel card audits.
  • Financial Control: Handling invoice checking, authorisations, and reconciliation specifically for vehicle maintenance spend. Controlling KPIs for maintenance spend and overall efficiency.
  • Driver & Agency Liaison: Managing driver infringement processes, new and agency driver inductions, and overseeing driver's licence/CPC management.
  • Incident Management: Taking the lead on accident management and new damage/defect form processing.
  • Team Support: Providing general assistance to the Head of Fleet Maintenance and Compliance, including occasional out-of-hours support for emergencies.
What You Will Bring

To be successful in this role, you must possess a strong background in transport compliance and fleet management.

Experience

Proven, substantial experience in a similar role within a busy transport office environment.

Essential Qualification

Must hold a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

  • Excellent computer literacy, including MS Office (specifically spreadsheets) and transport databases.
  • A highly self-managing, methodical, and detail-oriented approach.
