As Compliance Policy Manager, you'll ensure our betting operations meet all legal and licensing obligations (GB and Jersey Gambling Commissions). You'll lead the creation, implementation, and review of compliance policies, driving a strong culture of compliance and player protection.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and oversee compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with GB and Jersey Gambling Commission requirements, LCCP, AML, and GDPR
- Act as a subject matter expert on gambling regulations, embedding compliance standards across retail operations and staying ahead of legislative and industry developments
- Provide governance and oversight to support robust, compliant decision-making
- Lead monitoring and data-driven reviews to assess the effectiveness of the Compliance Framework, identifying and resolving gaps or breaches
- Support management of high-risk customer cases, incidents, and investigations into compliance failures or disputes
- Partner with Learning & Development to deliver targeted compliance training and communications that strengthen understanding across retail teams
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders—Risk and Compliance, AML and Compliance Operations, and first-line teams (Operations, Product, Tech, Commercial, Marketing)—to ensure a unified approach to compliance
- Manage external relationships with the GB and Jersey Gambling Commissions, other regulators, and the Betting and Gaming Council, representing evoke's compliance interests
- Proven experience in compliance, legal, or risk management within a regulated sector (betting and gaming experience preferred), with strong knowledge of LCCP, AML/CTF requirements, and relevant licensing processes in GB and Jersey
- Skilled in leading and managing compliance programs and teams, demonstrating strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across the business and with external regulators and stakeholders
- Detail-oriented and data-driven, with the capability to interpret information, assess risk, and make informed recommendations; proficient in Microsoft Office
- Evoke PLC follows a three lines of defence risk and governance model.
