Job summary

A community-focused housing association is seeking a Fire Safety Manager. The role involves managing fire safety programs and conducting data audits, with the requirement of proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Job description

Salary £29,337 per annum plus additional benefits.

Location Home-based with occasional travel within Dorset and Somerset.

37 hours per week (Mon – Fri with Flexitime).

Permanent role. Closing date for applications: 25 November 2025 (Midday).

Responsibilities
  • Manage the fire alarm and related fire equipment programs, conducting internal audits against in-house data and external contractor information.
  • Respond to associated risk‑related actions promptly and within appropriate timeframes.
  • Review and interpret asbestos reports to provide contractors with necessary information for safe work practices.
  • Provide support in preparing minutes for meetings with your contractor and facilitate ongoing relationship management throughout the contract duration.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, conditional formatting) and data auditing.
  • Highly organised, logical approach to work, ensuring accuracy and effective diary management to meet deadlines.
  • Full driving licence and access to personal vehicle for work‑related travel (expenses reimbursed).
