The Role

We’re looking for a dedicated Compliance Officer to play a vital role in keeping our homes safe and compliant. Youll be responsible for ensuring that all statutory checks, servicing, repairs, and installations are completed efficiently and to the highest standards across our property portfolio.

Youll work closely with contractors, colleagues, and auditors to ensure compliance across key areas such as gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, lift maintenance, asbestos, and damp and mould management.

What Youll Do
  • Plan, monitor, and report on all compliance activities to ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are consistently met.
  • Lead on access resolution activities to achieve 100% compliance across all legal obligations.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and certification data to support audits and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with managers and contractors to assess competency and performance.
  • Handle customer and colleague queries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Support the development and review of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Promote innovation and value for money in compliance service delivery.
What Youll Bring
  • Understanding of statutory compliance requirements in areas such as gas, electrical, fire safety, water hygiene, lifts, asbestos, and damp and mould.
  • Ability to interpret and apply compliance standards and policies.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience managing compliance records and audit processes.
  • Confidence dealing with contractors and customers in a professional, customer focused manner.
Qualifications
  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
  • Level 4 Certificate in Housing Management (or willingness to work towards (desirable)
  • ASCP Level 2 Award in Asset and Building Compliance Awareness (or equivalent) (desirable)
