Job summary

The Erith Group is seeking a Compliance Manager to lead passive fire protection compliance in our Kent Ebbsfleet office. You will oversee regulatory adherence, fire stopping surveys, and accreditation management to ensure safety standards across projects.

As the technical lead, you will manage fire doors, train staff, and maintain documentation, using Bolster, Onetrace and Boris apps. The role requires travel to client sites and driving license.

Qualifications

• FPA training or NVQ in a relevant field is required or desirable.
• Experience in passive fire protection is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of current UK fire safety regulations (Approved Document B, BS 9999) is required.
• Experience with BM TRADA or FIRAS accreditations is valuable.
• Experience with fire door surveying and identifying compartmentation breaches is expected.
• Proficiency with fire stopping apps (Bolster, Onetrace, Boris) and plan drawing software is desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure passive fire protection measures comply with UK fire safety regulations.
• Fire Doors and Fire Stopping: Oversee installation, inspection, quality and maintenance of fire doors and fire stopping systems.
• Accreditations Management: Maintain FIRAS/BM TRADA certifications.
• Fire Stopping/Fire Door Surveys: Conduct surveys and identify compartmentation breaches with remediation.
• Training and Development: Provide training on fire safety regulations and passive fire protection practices.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of inspections and compliance activities.
• Fire Protection Apps: Use Bolster, Onetrace, and Boris for documentation and reporting.
• Client Liaison: Advise clients on fire safety compliance and passive fire protection strategies.
