The Company

Hello. We’re RHP. Our purpose is to provide safe, secure homes – opening the door to life opportunities. We own and manage over 11,000 homes for social rent and shared ownership, and plan to build more over the next 12 months.

Our employees enjoy working for us, and we’ve been recognised as an excellent employer through several prestigious awards, including being named as a Top Employer for three years in a row. In recent years we’ve also gained Gold accreditation as part of the Mind Workplace Wellbeing Index and were named as Family Friendly Employer of the Year at the Personnel Today Awards.

We’re a Disability Confident Employer, which means we’re committed to inclusive recruitment practices.

If you want to make a difference to our customers, colleagues and beyond, we’re the place for you.

Connected through difference

We embrace and understand the value diversity brings – it can only make us better and stronger. That’s why a key part of our culture is to create an environment where everyone can be themselves and is treated fairly and equally. It’s important to us that you feel valued, appreciated, and free to be who you are.

Perks of the Job

Our aim is to be an excellent employer and create a healthy work environment so you can be the best version of yourself. Our flexible Life Matters benefits package has been designed around the things our people value most to give you choice around what you need to live well at work, rest, and play – you’ll have access to all these benefits during your time with us.

Life Matters has six main elements:

Mind Matters

Mind Matters Champions are RHP Group employees who’ve been trained to recognise the signs of mental health problems in the workplace, guide you towards professional help, and support you through difficult moments.

Our Engagement Champions Group (ECG) is the heartbeat of the organisation and the voice of our employees. They welcome your views about working at RHP, share information, and take ideas forward to make changes across the business.

Your Simplyhealth membership offers you access to up to six structured counselling sessions with an experienced counsellor if more formal support is needed.

Body Matters

From your first day with us, we pay for Level 5 cover with Simplyhealth, helping you claim money back on everyday healthcare costs like eye tests, trips to the dentist and physiotherapy. You can also choose to top‑up to Level 6 (currently the highest level available). The health of our employees is important, so we offer free flu jabs to all employees and Hepatitis B jabs to caretakers and first aiders.

We offer bike loans through the government scheme (Cyclescheme). You’ll get tax‑free, National Insurance‑free and interest‑free help with the cost of buying a bike and equipment.

Soul Matters

Work should be something you do, not somewhere you go, so our flexible working approach is all about doing Your Work Your Way – you can flex hours, work remotely, or even buy and sell holidays.

Giving back to the community is important to our people. While most companies allow one day a year for volunteering, RHP employees who work more than 18 hours a week can have up to two days. We also support a nominated charity – currently The Vineyard Community Centre in Richmond.

We offer 29 days’ annual leave and paid leave for eight bank holidays from 1 April to 31 March. Where part‑time, your holiday and bank holiday entitlement is pro‑rated. You can also buy or sell holiday.

Money Matters

Fancy an easy pay rise? Start a pension and you’ll see the benefits of a tax‑free pot of cash you and RHP pay into to save for retirement. We have one pension scheme – a Defined Contribution (DC) scheme. If you meet the criteria you’ll be automatically enrolled; we contribute 3 % and match and double that, up to 11.3 %.

We review salaries every year and are a London Living Wage employer, meaning your pay reflects local living costs.

We offer four interest‑free loans – for a digital device, season ticket, tenancy deposit or fertility treatment – and Salary Finance to help you pay off debts faster and at a lower cost.

Family Matters

We offer Birth, Adoption, Surrogacy and Partner Leave, plus extra paid leave for moving, caring or other life events. We also provide an interest‑free fertility loan for employees undergoing fertility treatment.

Recognition Matters

We show appreciation for all things – big and small – to keep morale high and celebrate achievements.

Values We Live By

We Know Our Stuff – We build trust and confidence by being experts in what we do. Our knowledge and skills enable us to get the most important stuff right – providing an excellent service and keeping our customers, homes and each other safe. We embrace change and recognise when we need to adapt, learn and develop new skills.

We Make It Happen – We show accountability, energy and passion for finding speedy resolutions and people will trust that we do what we say we will. We use collaboration and creativity to work together to find better ways of doing things. We don’t sit on the sidelines – we get involved in a meaningful way and find joy in what we do.

We Care – We care about providing an amazing service to our customers and each other. We treat people as individuals, show empathy by putting ourselves in their shoes, and listen fully to both customers and colleagues – making them feel safe and supported. We care about what happens today and tomorrow for our people, communities, homes and the planet.
