Job summary

A leading wealth management firm is seeking a Compliance Advisor to support the Head of Risk and Compliance. The candidate will provide regulatory compliance advice to operations and HR, analyze regulatory impacts, and liaise with stakeholders. Ideal applicants will have experience in financial services compliance and an understanding of UK regulations. This role is based in Southampton, with a permanent contract offering a range of benefits including a pension scheme and private medical insurance.

About the Role

Level - 4

Department - Risk

Location - Southampton (Travel to Southampton office once a week minimum)

Contract - Permanent

This role will support the Head of Risk and Compliance in delivering an effective and credible compliance advice service to the COO and Group Functions.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide expert compliance advisory support across Operations (including IT) and HR, guiding business developments based on regulatory requirements.
  • Provide analysis of regulatory requirements impacting standards, processes and procedures in order to support the business in their continued assessment of the appropriateness of policies and supporting material.
  • Liaise with and provide compliance advice to stakeholders in Operations and HR.
  • Supporting the Head of Risk and Compliance and wider Risk function in ensuring the embeddedness of the risk and compliance management framework.
  • The role will assist the Senior Compliance Manager and Head of Risk and Compliance with other tasks as required.
About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Compliance management experience gained within a financial services organisation(s), ideally with Platform or life company experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of UK financial services and regulatory context.
  • Having a compliance professional qualification(s), financial advice qualifications or equivalent experience is desirable but not essential.
