Position: Compliance Officer Specialist (Environmental, Equal Opportunities, Government)

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $40 - $80/hr pay

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities
  • Monitor and investigate compliance with environmental, equal opportunity, and government regulatory standards related to AI training activities.
  • Identify, document, and follow up on compliance issues and potential regulatory risks.
  • Evaluate applications, records, and supporting documentation to determine eligibility and regulatory adherence.
  • Advise individuals, licensees, and organizations on licensing, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare clear and detailed compliance reports, findings, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, officials, specialists, and applicants to clarify facts and support informed regulatory and licensing decisions.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and corrective guidance.
  • Interpret evolving regulations, policies, and best practices and apply them to operational and AI training workflows.
Requirements
  • Strong professional background in regulatory affairs, environmental compliance, equal opportunity compliance, or government investigation.
  • Strong understanding of licensing, permitting, and regulatory enforcement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex regulatory requirements.
