Compliance Manager

Location: Nottingham (Hybrid working available)

The Role

An established law firm in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to oversee and continuously improve the firm's regulatory and risk framework. This is a key role, working closely with partners and senior management to ensure full compliance with SRA requirements and best practice across the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting, the firm's COLP and/or COFA
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations
  • Managing and developing firm-wide compliance policies and procedures
  • Overseeing risk management, complaints handling and breach reporting
  • Conducting internal audits and compliance monitoring
  • Advising partners and staff on regulatory matters and best practice
  • Delivering compliance training across the firm
  • Liaising with regulators, insurers and external advisors as required
The Ideal Candidate
  • Proven experience in a legal compliance role within a law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of SRA regulations
  • Experience acting as, or supporting, a COLP/COFA (highly desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to risk and compliance
