A dynamic logistics company in Northern Ireland is seeking a Logistics / International Compliance Officer to join their experienced team. You will oversee operational planning, ensure trade compliance, and handle QMS maintenance. Ideal candidates have experience in manufacturing or warehousing and a strong background in quality management systems. In this key role, you will engage with senior management, support audits, and maintain performance metrics, contributing to the company's ongoing expansion.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in a quality management system, ideally ISO9001.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.

Job description

Due to ongoing demand and continued expansion, our client has a requirement for a Logistics / international compliance officer to join an experienced team within a fast growing, dynamic organisation.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Operational support in terms of coordinating with the manufacturing and warehouse managers, and the quality technician in support of operational planning, health safety and security, performance targets and objectives.
  • Supporting International Trade Compliance processes to maintain HMRC authorizations and assisting the Operations Director with HMRC audits.
  • Producing process performance reports and presentations.
  • Internal Audits against the requirements of AS9100 / AS9120, in line with RTA’s internal audit schedule, maintaining records, including monitoring corrective actions to closure.
  • General Quality administration – includes management review, material review board support, supplier quality monitoring, and completion/preparation of customer survey responses.
  • Compiling high level business statistics and maintaining key performance indicators.
  • QMS maintenance, including drafting and updating associated documents.
  • Skills matrix maintenance (includes maintaining training records)
Essential Criteria and Skills
  • Experience of planning, supervising / managing operations in either a manufacturing or a warehousing/storage environment
  • Experience of working within a quality management system (e.g. ISO9001)
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Attention to Detail
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
Desirable skills / experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP and MS Dynamics
  • Working knowledge of import / export procedures and data requirements, including tariff classification, customs value calculations, preparation of international trade documentation such as Bills of Laden, Commercial Invoices, and Bills of Discharge (BOD1). A HMRC / International Trade Compliance qualification would be viewed as a distinct advantage.
