Job summary

GSK in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compliance Engineer to ensure adherence to EHS, Quality and Engineering standards. The role will drive improvements to compliance systems, coordinate audits, and oversee change control within engineering at a Barnard Castle site.

The successful candidate will have a background in quality systems within a pharmaceutical GMP environment, strong communication skills, and experience delivering presentations to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • :- A-Levels or a Foundation Degree in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • - Experience in Quality Management System principles and engineering standards
  • - Experience organizing workload effectively and manage multiple tasks
  • - Experience preparing and delivering written and verbal communications in English in a professional setting
  • - Experience working with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
  • - Experience creating presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and analysing data using Microsoft Excel
  • - Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment operating under cGMP and QMS

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive compliance with Quality Management Systems and Safety systems within Engineering.
  • Management and governance of engineering safety and quality KPI’s.
  • Provide management and oversight of the following key compliance areas within Engineering: ES, QMS, Eng Alerts, Legionella, Asbestos, TP13, Technical Authority, Risk Management, Maturity Assessments.
  • Ensure documentation periodic review and retention is managed.
  • Manage the department Self Inspection Audit/Management Monitoring program.
  • Ownership of the Engineering Change Control and Planned Change process
  • Support GMP and safety audits including fronting as required.
  • Manage and chair department councils & engineering governance meetings.
  • Deliver GMP training as required for the department.

Job Title: Compliance Engineer

12 Month Fixed Term Contract FTC

Role Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure adherence to company and regulatory standards for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), Quality, and Engineering. By leveraging continuous improvement methodologies, the role will drive sustainable enhancements to existing compliance systems and processes, ensuring compliance requirements across engineering are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive compliance with Quality Management Systems and Safety systems within Engineering.
  • Management and governance of engineering safety and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Provide management and oversight of the following key compliance areas within Engineering: Engineering Standards (ES), Quality Management System (QMS), Eng Alerts, Legionella, Asbestos, TP13, Technical Authority, Risk Management, Maturity Assessments.

Work Arrangements:

Based Barnard Castle

This role is on -site, 5 days per week.
