Compliance Data & Automation Specialist

Glasgow (Hybrid)

£60,000 + Benefits

My client is seeking a Data & Automation Specialist with strong compliance and governance experience to own the design, development, and continuous enhancement of a strategic internal platform that consolidates employee and technology communication-channel data. Using Microsoft SQL Server, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint, DataIKU, and Python, you will ensure the platform remains reliable, high-performing, and fully aligned with compliance and surveillance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, extend, and maintain the record-keeping platform using SQL, Power Platform, and Python.
  • Build and document APIs; ensure accurate, complete, high-quality data ingestion.
  • Optimise database performance and resolve technical issues.
  • Enhance UI / UX, visualisation, navigation, and role-based access; maintain comprehensive audit trails.
  • Create clear functional and technical documentation and user support materials.
  • Lead the migration from prototype to a robust BAU solution, including change control, testing, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Maintain and prioritise a dynamic backlog; communicate status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders.
  • Deliver training to end-users and technical teams; foster strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Conduct data analysis for investigations, producing accurate, evidence-ready reports.
Key Skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, Python, and SharePoint.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering, ETL processes, DataIKU, and data integration.
  • Experience in data governance or data-management roles (data quality, metadata, controls).
