Compliance Coordinator

Location: Derby (offices based at The Derby Conference Centre)

This range is provided by Ganymede. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Ganymede is a leading recruitment business with offices across the UK, connecting talented individuals with organisations that help keep the country moving. As part of the AIM-listed RTC Group, we’re a trusted partner in the rail and transport sectors, contributing to major infrastructure projects that shape the UK’s future.

In this role, you’ll be at the centre of our operations, working closely with recruitment and resource teams across multiple divisions. You’ll play an important part in keeping our processes compliant and efficient, supporting internal teams and helping to uphold our management systems and HSIEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality) policies.

You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team who will support you through hands-on training and support. If you\'re looking for a role where you can build your skills and be part of something meaningful — this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the coordination and tracking of compliance documentation to help ensure smooth and accurate processes.

  • Assisting with the verification of certifications, Right to Work in the UK, and insurance documentation.

  • Helping to arrange medicals, drug & alcohol screenings, and health surveillance questionnaires in line with company policy.

  • Keeping key records up to date, including Safe Working Hours, competence, certifications, and medical fitness.

  • Acting as Sentinel Coordinator, helping to manage the Sentinel sponsorship process.

  • Supporting the communication of industry updates, including changes to the rulebook and new standards.

  • Assisting with the organisation of training and assessments to ensure ongoing workforce compliance.

  • Contributing to AWR (Agency Workers Regulations) tracking and related administrative tasks.

  • Providing flexible support across other business areas when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset when supporting colleagues and stakeholders.

  • A willingness to learn and follow internal processes, with the confidence to ask questions and seek clarity.

  • Calm and focused under pressure, especially in fast-moving or changing environments.

  • A collaborative team player who enjoys learning from others and contributing to group success.

  • Keen to take on challenges and grow with support and guidance.

  • Positive, enthusiastic, and solutions-focused in day-to-day work.

  • Open to feedback, with a genuine interest in learning and self-development.

  • Clear and confident communicator in both written and spoken English.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a forward-thinking business that values its people.

  • Enjoy a supportive, inclusive work environment.

  • Play a meaningful role in a company supporting essential infrastructure across the UK.
