Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance & Risk Apprentice to join our Reinsurance division in London for an 18‑month placement. You’ll play an important role in supporting our UK branch operations alongside our Compliance Officer and learn compliance and risk fundamentals in a collaborative, global environment.

What is a Compliance & Risk Apprenticeship? This 18‑month program is your chance to begin or advance your career in financial services while earning a Level 3 Compliance & Risk qualification. Compliance is all about helping businesses follow the rules – such as keeping data safe and preventing financial crime – while risk management means spotting potential problems before they happen and ensuring companies remain secure and trusted.

From supporting teams with regulations to protecting against fraud, you’ll help keep the business safe and fair. You’ll gain real‑world experience, learn from experts, and build skills that are in high demand across the risk landscape. Enjoy a mix of work and study with full support to complete your qualification and open the door to a long‑term career in compliance, risk, or financial services.

  • Assisting in compliance monitoring reviews and reports.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Compliance reporting to senior management, including contribution to board and committee reports to ensure senior management and Board members are up to date and aware of key compliance issues and actions required.
  • Maintenance of the compliance registers.
  • Carrying out testing and review of key controls, in liaison with second and third line of defence teams, including risk management and internal audit.
