Job summary

A leading compliance organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compliance Officer to support the Head of Compliance in assessing regulatory changes and ensuring compliance with obligations. The ideal candidate will have a compliance-related qualification and basic knowledge of regulatory obligations within the insurance or financial services sector. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to regulatory improvement initiatives.

  • Achieved or working towards a relevant compliance-related qualification.
  • Ability to interpret legal or regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with compliance teams to assess regulatory changes.
  • Support management information recording and analysis.
  • Maintain regulatory change log and assist gap analyses.
  • Conduct monitoring reviews in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan.

Job description
Overview
Key Duties (Including but not limited to) :
  • Collaborate with the Head of Compliance and business areas to identify, assess and communicate the occurrence and impact of regulatory and legislative changes and work with the business on implementation.
  • To support the Head of Compliance with the recording and analysis of management information to identify areas of potential regulatory concern
  • Maintain a regulatory change log and assist with gap analyses for business change such as product developments and new products
  • Conduct monitoring reviews in line with the Compliance Monitoring Plan, including control testing
Qualifications required :
  • Achieved or working towards a relevant compliance-related qualification from an appropriate accredited body, i.e. the CII or CISI
Experience required :
  • Basic knowledge of the regulatory obligations of a dual-regulated insurer, preferably within insurance or financial services.
  • Ability to interpret legal or regulatory requirements and embed them into business processes.
