Job summary

Reed is seeking a diligent Compliance assistant in Liverpool to support background checks and client onboarding. You will research prospective and existing clients using various databases and identify risk factors with precision.

The role focuses on clear documentation, handling confidential information, and escalating issues to management when required. Strong IT skills and the ability to work under deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct online research and background checks on prospective and existing clients.
  • Use research tools and databases to identify relevant parties and gather key information.
  • Review and analyse information, identify discrepancies or risk factors, escalate as needed.
  • Support client onboarding by preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ensure high-risk elements are identified, evidenced, and recorded per procedures.
  • Work with internal teams to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Support ad hoc projects and take ownership of research assignments.
  • Provide clear information to assist project teams in understanding clients.
  • Escalate findings or compliance issues to management when required.
  • Respond to queries within a collaborative team environment.

Job description

Our client is currently looking to recruit within their Compliance department. Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting online research and background checks on prospective and existing clients.
  • Using a variety of research tools and databases to identify relevant parties and gather key information.
  • Reviewing and analysing information, identifying any discrepancies or risk factors, and escalating where appropriate.
  • Supporting client onboarding processes by preparing and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ensuring high-risk elements are clearly identified, evidenced, and recorded in line with company procedures.
  • Working closely with internal teams to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Supporting the delivery of ad hoc projects and taking ownership of specific research assignments.
  • Providing clear and accurate information to support project teams in understanding their clients.
  • Escalating findings, concerns, and compliance-related issues to management when required.
  • Assisting colleagues and responding to queries within a collaborative team environment.

About You

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Confidence working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A professional and collaborative approach to teamwork.

Working Hours & Pay

Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:15pm

GBP14.11 per hour, plus holiday pay
