Compliance Administrator

Location: City of London | Hybrid working available after training

WE Talent are working with a busy, dynamic City of London business seeking an experienced Compliance Administrator to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong compliance, governance or regulatory background who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a varied caseload of enquiries and applications, work autonomously, and contribute to wider projects and organisational initiatives alongside your day-to-day responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as the first point of contact for licensing, registration, or compliance-related enquiries via phone and email, providing clear guidance and signposting information as required
  • Maintaining accurate records, logs, and data in digital platforms and Excel trackers
  • Managing your personal caseload of applications and amendments, including screening checks such as Know Your Client (KYC)
  • Attending case review meetings, presenting cases to the team, and contributing to discussions on next steps and actions
  • Supporting projects alongside your routine workload, including updates to the company website, drafting and adapting communications, process documents, and designing forms
  • Coordinating and administering virtual (Teams / Zoom) and in-person meetings, including panel hearings and other stakeholder events
  • Overseeing day-of logistics for meetings and events, including venue bookings, technical arrangements, and guest reception
  • Assisting with annual licence / registration renewal processes, audit support, and other compliance-related projects
  • Supporting wider organisational activities as required, including complaints, inspections, and administrative tasks for senior leadership
  • Promoting professional qualifications and regulatory benefits through web content, events, and communications
What we’re looking for

We’re seeking an experienced, proactive compliance professional with strong administrative skills, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Essential qualities include :

  • Proven experience in compliance, governance, audit, quality assurance, or regulatory environments
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects under pressure, with a high degree of autonomy
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with confidence in decision-making and presenting cases to colleagues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to draft a variety of correspondence
  • Strong IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel – intermediate), with experience of DocuSign or Xero advantageous
  • Knowledge of data protection / GDPR and experience applying it in practice
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Collaborative, flexible, and able to support multiple stakeholders
