A healthcare trust in Dartford is seeking a graduate qualified health professional to join their Children & Young People's Mental Health Service. This role involves promoting the mental health of children and young people, delivering evidence-based clinical interventions, and undertaking assessments. Candidates should have core professional registration and experience in CYPMHS. The position offers benefits including flexible working patterns and a comprehensive induction program.
Come and work for NELFT's Children & Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) and be part of one of the UK's most innovative healthcare Trust. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a graduate qualified health professional (e.g., nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, creative therapist, or someone with clinical CAMHS experience or similar) to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team based in Dartford, Kent.
Driven by the principles underpinning the national CYP-IAPT programme (Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) the service provides the latest in evidence based NICE compliant psychological interventions to children, young people and their families experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
Working with our colleagues, patients and carers we have co‑produced three new values that we aim to embed within our culture here at NELFT. They are: We are kind. We are respectful. We work together with our communities. These three values help us to strive to provide the best care by the best people.
We are kind. We are respectful. We work together with our communities.
NELFT places a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop‑in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
NELFT's CYPMHS is for anyone aged between 0-18, living in Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley areas and is free at the point of entry. The CAMHS Tier II and Tier III services no longer exist, replaced with an integrated CYPMHS. Any young person experiencing emotional wellbeing or mental health problems, or any parent, guardian, professional or teacher of a child who is experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties, may access our service.
