Job Responsibilities of the Complex Needs Teaching Assistant (TA):

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with complex learning needs.
• Assist with personal care and physical support where necessary.
• Work alongside the class teacher and SEN team to adapt and deliver individual learning plans.
• Foster communication, independence, and social development
• Use specialist strategies, such as PECS, Makaton, or sensory approaches (training provided if needed).
• Support pupils during break, lunch, and transitions throughout the school day.

Job Requirements:

• Experience supporting children or young adults with special educational needs (especially PMLD, SLD, or ASD).
• A calm, patient, and proactive approach.
• Willingness to assist with personal care and manual handling.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.#
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
