Complex Needs SEN Teacher needed for a Specialist School in Uxbridge

TLTP are looking for a qualified SEN Class Teacher to work full-time at a Complex Needs School.

The ideal candidate would have experience of working with pupils aged 7-19 with autism and moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties/disabilities including those with visual and hearing impairments.

The setting is a specialist school based in Uxbridge.

The role
  • Plan and deliver highly individualized, engaging, and meaningful lessons that consider cognitive, communication, and sensory profiles.
  • Lead and manage a class team of support staff to ensure a consistent and person‑centred approach across the day.
  • Work collaboratively with therapists and other professionals to embed therapeutic strategies into daily teaching.
  • Use augmentative and alternative communication systems (AAC) including high‑tech (e.g., communication devices/apps) and low‑tech systems (e.g., PECS, Sign‑Along, visual supports).
  • Build strong relationships with families and contribute positively to home‑school communication.
  • Play an active role in annual reviews and contribute meaningfully to Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) processes.

  • Is confident in working with parents/carers and supporting EHCP processes.
