Complex Needs Support Worker
Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP

GSL Education are seeking a Complex Needs Support Worker to work at a Client school for students with additional needs in Ripon, starting as soon as possible.

Complex Needs Support Worker Responsibilities:

• Support students with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
• Assist in implementing individual behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
• Provide in-class support to help students access learning and develop positive routines.
• Deliver focused intervention.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Build trusting, consistent relationships with students.

Complex Needs Support Worker Requirements:

• Experience working with young people with complex challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Training in Team Teach or similar behaviour support strategies is advantageous.
• Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
