Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in London area is seeking a Learning Support Specialist to help learners with complex needs access meaningful education in a safe, inclusive environment.

You'll work with children, young people or adults with SEND, providing tailored support, personal care, and mobility assistance, collaborating with teachers, therapists and families to support independence and participation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with SEND and complex needs.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Familiar with PEG feeding and mobility assistance.
• Ability to work one-to-one and in small groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support throughout the college day.
• Deliver personal care with dignity and sensitivity.
• Assist learners with mobility needs using hoists and wheelchairs.
• Administer medications and follow healthcare plans.
• Support PEG feeding where required.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to learner reviews and support plans.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

Learning Support Specialist (Personal Care & Complex Needs)

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll work closely with learners who have a range of physical, medical, learning, and communication needs, providing tailored support that enables them to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learners on a one-to-one and small-group basis throughout the college day
• Providing personal care with dignity, respect, and sensitivity
• Supporting learners with mobility needs, including the use of hoists, wheelchairs, standing aids, and other specialist equipment
• Administering medication and following individual healthcare plans
• Carrying out PEG feeding safely and confidently where required
• Encouraging independence, confidence, and active participation in learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals, and families
• Maintaining accurate records and contributing to learner reviews and support plans
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you'll have experience with:

• Medication administration

• Manual handling and moving & handling equipment
• Supporting individuals with complex physical or medical needs
