Job summary

Davies is seeking an experienced Complex Injury Assistant Lawyer to join our Legal team in Southampton, with London, Southampton, Leeds or Bolton as potential locations. You will support a Lead Lawyer on high‑value injury claims, including employers’ liability, public liability and motor claims, while developing expertise in liability, indemnity and quantum.

Qualifications

• Experience in injury litigation and handling complex injury files.
• Strong understanding of indemnity, liability and quantum.
• Ability to analyse complex evidence carefully and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Support Lead Lawyer with a caseload of complex, high‑value injury claims.
• Review medical, liability and quantum evidence to identify key issues and gaps.
• Instruct medical experts and prepare chronologies and witness statements.
• Draft pleadings, applications and other legal documents.
• Attend conferences, mediations, court hearings and settlement conferences as needed.
• Develop junior colleagues and keep case management systems up to date.
