About the Role

You’ll be supporting a young boy of 10 who due to an acquired brain injury requires support with complex needs such as, left side weakness and visual impairment, mobility issues and mild speech difficulties. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

He lives at home with his family and their pets (two dogs and two cats) he enjoys football and anything football related, cricket, construction toys and cars and listening to music. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest and engage in his education.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a support workerwith:

  • Agenuine passionfor care and making a difference
  • Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and empatheticnature
  • Reliable, committed, and flexibleapproach
  • Experience incomplex careand managing challenging behaviours
  • Ability to workindependently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience of supporting SEN students in a school environment.

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
