Forbes Solicitors is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to support an adult with profound learning disabilities and complex needs in Ellesmere Port. The role involves hands-on daily living support, personal care, and assisting with activities of daily living.
The successful candidate will work 30 hours per week, primarily daytime, with occasional evenings or weekends. A full UK driving licence is essential to support community activities and transport equipment.
Personal Assistant We are looking for a compassionate, proactive and reliable Complex Care Support Worker to support a an individual with profound learning disabilities and complex physical needs.
The gentleman we support is non-verbal and wheelchair bound and requires full support with all aspects of daily living, including personal and intimate care. He is a happy, smiley gentleman with a warm personality who communicates his preferences and makes his feelings known in his own unique ways.
He enjoys being active, and particularly loves attending rebound therapy, adaptive cycling and swimming. We are looking for someone who will take the time to understand him, build trust, and support him to live a comfortable, happy and meaningful life with his family.
This is a hands-on support role where no two days are the same. The successful Personal Assistant will provide person-centred support tailored to his changing needs and routines.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory impairments or complex care needs would be beneficial, although full training can be provided for the right person.
