Job summary

Thornbury Community Services in Exeter is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for Complex Care in the community. You will support an adult male with a spinal injury to live independently at home, including days out and community activities, with a focus on safety and dignity.

The role requires compassionate, resilient care with UK care experience (minimum 12 months) and a valid manual driving license. Shifts include days and nights, and holiday pay is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in UK care (minimum 12 months).
• Must have a valid manual driving license.
• Experience caring for adults with complex health needs is desirable.
• Ability to work across days and nights and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support an adult male with a spinal injury to live independently.
• Assist with personal care and daily routines.
• Help clients stay active in the community and attend outings.
• Build trust with individuals and their families.
• Maintain safe home environments and assist with mobility and transfers.
