Job summary

Advantage Healthcare, part of CCH, in Rubery, Birmingham, is seeking carers to support a young person with complex health needs. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care and meal support while promoting independence in a calm, safe environment.

Full training and paid induction are provided, DBS checks are covered, and no prior experience is strictly required. We value compassionate, patient individuals dedicated to making a real difference within a family-friendly team.

Qualifications

• Experience with epilepsy and seizure management is beneficial.
• Caring and compassionate demeanor.
• Helps promote the client’s independence.
• Calm and patient approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to a young person with complex health needs.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing and continence.
• Support meals with pureed diet and follow hygiene protocols.
• Monitor for seizures and respond to emergencies, including rescue medication as prescribed.
• Support the family to ensure safe, consistent care and communicate effectively.
• Encourage participation in activities and respect the client’s preferences.
