Job summary

City & County Healthcare Group (Advantage Healthcare), part of CCH, seeks a Complex Care Assistant for the Birmingham area. You will support a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, assisting with daily activities and clinical tasks under supervision.

Full training and paid induction are provided; a full UK driving licence is required to travel between locations. There is clear progression into senior and leadership roles within our people-first care group.

Qualifications

• Experience in the following is not essential, but extremely advantageous for this role:
• Epilepsy and Seizure management
• PEG feeding
• Medication Administration
• Moving & Handling Equipment
• The only requirement would be that you will need a full valid UK licence.

Responsibilities

• This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your current skill base and join us as a Complex Care Assistant.
• You will have full training and clinical support to develop and enhance skills in various complex areas such as tracheotomy, ventilation, seizure management, and stoma care plus so much more!
• This rewarding, person-centred role involves supporting a young adult with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a severe form of Epilepsy, who lives with his parents and siblings.
• This role will require assistance with PEG feeding, a Vagus Nerve stimulator to help with seizure management, washing, dressing, bowel management, medication administration and manual handling with assistance from his family.
