This is a role as a Complex Care Assistant supporting a vibrant young adult with cerebral palsy. The role involves providing 2:1 care and personal support, assisting with daily routines, joining the client for social outings and appointments, and learning specialist skills such as suctioning, gastrostomy care, and seizure response. The role is located in Silsden and offers flexible hours Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 16:00 with a salary of £14 per hour.

Main duties of the job

The Complex Care Assistant role involves providing 2:1 care and personal support to a vibrant young adult with cerebral palsy. You will help the client live life to the fullest, both at home and in the community, by supporting daily routines with compassion and consistency, joining the client for social outings, hobbies, and appointments, and learning specialist skills such as suctioning, gastrostomy care, and seizure response. The role requires basic care experience, with full training provided for complex needs. You should be a calm, friendly, and confident communicator, willing to learn and upskill in complex care, and a team player who enjoys being hands‑on. A full UK driving licence is essential.
