Qualifications

Job Title: Healthcare Assistant

Location: Kidderminster, DY11

Rate of Pay: £12.21 per hour

Shifts: Day shifts (8AM-8PM). Weekend availability is required.

Contract Type: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available

About the Role

This is a highly rewarding role where you will support a 30-year-old non-verbal individual with complex needs in their home. The individual has a full understanding of their surroundings. You'll be part of a supportive 2:1 care package, focused on helping them live safely and independently. This role includes access to a mobility vehicle to help the client get out and about in the community.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting individuals with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care

  • Promoting independence and helping service users develop life skills

  • Providing emotional support and building positive relationships

  • Assisting with complex care tasks such as Tracheostomy and PEG feeding (full training provided)

  • Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments, or participate in social activities using a mobility vehicle.

  • Encouraging and enabling service users to achieve personal goals

  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to the care team

  • Personal and pressure area care

Key Requirements
  • Must be a driver with a full UK driving license

  • Able to work day shifts and commit to weekend availability

  • Minimum 6 months of professional UK care experience

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

  • Up-to-date CV with full work history

  • Non-drivers are welcome to apply if they can commute reliably, but a driving license is stated as required.
