Job summary

SR Electrical Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced CompEx Electrician to install, maintain and test electrical systems in hazardous areas across sites nationwide. The role involves regular travel and, at times, working away from home.

You will operate in permit-controlled environments, follow RAMS and safe systems of work, and complete documentation and certification as required. NVQ Level 3 and CompEx are essential, with a current UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance (e.g. C&G 2357 or equivalent).
• Inspection & Testing (C&G 2391-52 or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Desirable: SSSTS or SMSTS.
• Desirable: IPAF.
• Desirable: PASMA.
• Desirable: CompEx Ex05–Ex06 (Dust).
• Desirable: CompEx Ex07–Ex08 (Petrol Forecourts).
• Minimum 2 years' electrical experience required.
• Work is primarily on the road, including travel and working away.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in hazardous areas, in line with relevant standards and site procedures.
• Work in permit-controlled environments, following site rules, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
• Support (and where appropriate, supervise) site activities to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Complete job paperwork and certification as required.
