Job summary
CAMTECH Services is seeking an experienced CompEx Electrician with control and instrumentation experience to join our team. This hands-on role covers industrial, manufacturing and hazardous-area environments across Scotland and occasional further afield.
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, work independently or as part of a larger EC&I project team, and hold a current CompEx Ex01–Ex04 and a recognised electrical qualification.
Qualifications
- Recognised electrical qualification.
- Current CompEx Ex01–Ex04.
- Industrial electrical experience.
- Experience with control systems and instrumentation; ability to read electrical/control drawings.
- Testing and fault-finding capability.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
- Industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
- Hazardous-area electrical installation and remedial works.
- CompEx inspection and compliance activities.
- Control panel and control system installation.
- Instrumentation and field-device installation.
- Motors, valves, sensors, transmitters and associated equipment.
- Cable containment, cabling and termination.
- Testing and fault finding.
- I/O checking and commissioning support.
- Planned shutdown and maintenance activities.
- Reading and working from electrical schematics, loop drawings and technical documentation.
- Completing work to CAMTECH’s quality and health & safety standards.
