About the Team:

The Total Rewards team at Wayfair comprises Compensation and Benefits. We accomplish this by focusing on qualitative and quantitative data to deliver differentiated, cost effective strategies, and equitable access, process, and outcomes for as many as possible. This role sits within the Corporate Compensation and Equity team, which is responsible for setting the global compensation strategy and managing equity and executive compensation strategy and administration. You will report directly to the Global Head of Corporate Compensation and Equity and play a key role in shaping the compensation landscape for our employees worldwide.

About the Role:

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced compensation professional to lead our compensation strategy and operations for the UK and Ireland and support our global compensation strategy. As the Manager of UK and Ireland Compensation, you'll be the go-to expert for all things compensation in the region, playing a critical role in ensuring that our compensation programs are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our business objectives across corporate and frontline roles.

What You'll Do:

  • Market Benchmarking and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to ensure that our compensation programs are competitive and aligned with industry best practices. Analyze market data, evaluate compensation trends, and develop recommendations for salary structures and incentive plans
  • Compensation Program Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of innovative compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate top talent, both globally and regionally. Partner with Talent and business leaders to develop and implement compensation policies and procedures that are compliant with local regulations and support our business goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the global business. Provide expert advice and guidance on compensation-related matters, and effectively communicate compensation philosophy and programs to employees.
  • Regional Compliance and Legislation: Ensure compliance with all applicable UK and Ireland compensation laws and regulations, including pay equity legislation. Stay abreast of legislative changes and proactively update compensation programs to maintain compliance.
  • Compensation Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of compensation programs in the UK and Ireland. Manage compensation cycles, conduct job evaluations, participate in salary surveys, and analyze compensation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Conduct analyses to evaluate budgetary impacts of compensation programs and policies. Prepare reports and presentations based on this analytical work for management.
  • Project Management: Manage compensation-related projects, including defining scope, timelines, resources, and communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with key teams, including HRIS, Talent Acquisition, TBPs, Finance, and Legal, to ensure alignment and successful implementation of compensation initiatives.
  • Team Leadership: Provide indirect management and mentorship to a Senior Associate of Benefits, who supports the UK, Ireland, and Asia regions. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in compensation, with a strong focus on market analysis, program design, and implementation.
  • Deep understanding of UK and Ireland compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation, modeling, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS systems.
