inspiring vet care is seeking an Animal Nursing Assistant to join Haydon Vets on a part-time permanent basis, supporting the clinical team to deliver high standards of patient and client care in a busy veterinary practice.

You will work under the direction of a Veterinary Surgeon or Registered Veterinary Nurse, assisting with inpatient care, patient handling and restraint, and maintaining clinical areas and equipment to ensure a compassionate experience for both patients and clients.

Formación

• Previous animal care experience is desirable but not essential; on-site training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Assist vets and nurses during examinations.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Observe patients pre- and post-procedure and report changes to the clinical team.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
• Maintain accurate patient records and up-to-date information.
• Provide nursing care to hospitalised patients (feeding, grooming, walking).
• Support reception duties (booking appointments, client queries).
• Ensure clinic cleanliness and sterilisation of instruments and rooms.
