Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals having learning disabilities.
  • Ability to handle budgets and manage money.
  • Knowledge regarding the rights of individuals with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop professional relationships with tenants to enhance self-esteem.
  • Assist tenants with personal care and hygiene.
  • Support tenants in domestic duties.
  • Escort tenants to activities when needed.
  • Report tenant concerns to senior staff promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to care and medication.

Skills

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities
Experience of maintaining budgets and handling money
Knowledge of the needs of those with learning disabilities
Understanding of the Supporting People and Quality Assessment Framework

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
