Job summary

Cherished Care UK is seeking compassionate Support Workers across East Devon, including Sidmouth, Exmouth, Honiton and surrounding areas. Flexible part-time or full-time roles with visits across the region.

You will mentor and support individuals to increase independence and wellbeing, in a caring environment, with a focus on safeguarding and personalised care. Roles involve teaching basic skills, personal care assistance, and collaboration with families and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience or interest in working with children, young people and adults is desirable.
• Lived experience is welcome.
• Strong mentoring skills to motivate and inspire others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Compassionate, patient and understanding approach.
• Ability to teach new skills clearly and effectively.
• Organised with good time management.
• Adaptable to dynamic environments while maintaining professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised support to children, young people and adults fostering development and confidence.
• Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and organisational tasks.
• Implement educational programmes, including teaching basic skills and life lessons.
• Provide mentoring to encourage positive behaviour and social skills.
• Support behavioural management strategies in line with policies.
• Collaborate with families, carers and other professionals to ensure holistic care plans.
• Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times.
