Job summary

Brent Shared Lives is seeking compassionate individuals to open their homes and support adults who need care and support. By becoming a Shared Lives Carer, you can make a real difference to someone’s life while receiving payment for your role.

Brent is a London borough that values diversity and community. You will be supported with full training, DBS checks, and ongoing professional development. A generous per-adult payment is provided and roles can be part-time or full-time.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Live in the UK full-time or have leave to remain.
• Have time and space to support someone either full or part-time.
• Have a spare bedroom (if offering overnight support).
• Be supported by your household.
• Caring, patient, and supportive.
• Committed to providing consistent care and stability.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in a safe, welcoming home for adults who need support to live independently.
• Offer companionship, support and care in a family environment.
• Undergo assessment including background checks, interviews, training and home visits.
