Job summary

Independent lives is seeking a warm, flexible Personal Assistant to support a woman in her day-to-day life, both at home and in the community. You will help with domestic tasks, personal care, and activities outside the home to promote independence and wellbeing.

The role offers both employed (£12.80 per hour with holiday pay and SSP) and self-employed (£15.00 per hour) options, with pets in the home and a need for patience, reliability and good English.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal and domestic support to an individual.
• Ability to follow instructions, take initiative and work with patience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and trustworthy conduct.

Responsibilities

• Personal grooming and daily care.
• General household tasks (cleaning, laundry, tidying).
• Support to get out and about: shopping, appointments, community outings.
• Caring for pets in the home when needed.
