Job summary

Westward Care Limited in Leeds is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated team on a 36-hour per week night shift (8pm–8am). You will provide high-quality personal care, respond to call bells, assist with mobility, and maintain a safe and quiet environment.

You will log care details, participate in handovers, monitor residents, and uphold dignity and comfort throughout the night. Enhanced DBS disclosure is required, and previous care-home experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS disclosure required.
• Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care.
• Previous experience in care home or residential setting preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (8pm–8am).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality personal care during night hours and assist with bedtime routines.
• Respond promptly to call bells and signs of distress; support mobility and positioning.
• Carry out regular checks and monitor residents; report changes to the nurse.
• Update care logs and hand over to day team for continuity of care.
