Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient-oriented care assistant to support the Physical Therapy department in Plymouth. This role involves clerical and clinical tasks, equipment care, patient preparation, and patient transport, with supervision from PTs/PTAs as needed.

The position includes 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts. Flu vaccination is required for employment.

Qualifications

• Hospital will train.

• Ability to read and write English at 12th grade level.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and supportive clinical functions for the Physical Therapy Department.
• Performs routine care and cleaning of equipment.
• Prepares patients for treatment and assists with departure after treatment.
• Transports patients, records, equipment and supplies.
• Assists with follow-up of functional and ambulation activities and simple exercises under supervision.
• Performs general office procedures.
