Job Overview

Two delightful children aged four and seven are seeking the support of an experienced and nurturing nanny at their home in beautiful West Herefordshire. The family will soon be moving house and schools, so the ideal nanny will be calm, understanding, and confident in supporting children through times of change. This is a role for someone who can become a steady and trusted presence in the children’s lives, offering warmth, structure, and reliability. The nanny will have their own comfortable bedroom and bathroom.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide child‑focused care, including proxy parenting and overnight care when parents are away for work.
• Support children in outdoor activities such as playing football, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring nature.
• Facilitate creative activities such as arts, crafts, and building projects to nurture fine motor skills and curiosity.
• Cook and bake nutritious homemade meals, sharing favourite activities like homemade pizza nights and banana bread baking.
• Perform age‑appropriate household duties: children’s laundry, organising wardrobes and play areas, and planning fun activities that support their development and happiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 3 years of nanny experience.
• Qualified Nanny certification.
• Up‑to‑date enhanced eDBS certificate, registered on the update service.
• 12‑hour Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
• Minimum of two professional referees, one being the current or last employer, both immediately contactable.
• Appropriate personal insurance recommended.

Work Details

• Location: Near Peterchurch, Herefordshire.
• Hours: 6 hours a day on average, requiring flexibility.
